Pasqualina "Peggy" Bonito Cinque, 90, of Branford and formerly of New Haven died February 13, 2010 at Branford Hills surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank Cinque. Peggy was born in New Haven July 18, 1919 to the late Andrew and Marie Paolillo Bonito. She had worked in a dress factory prior to meeting her husband Frank. Peggy enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. She loved to cook, especially at holiday time when the entire family would come over to enjoy her food. Her children and grandchildren would wait for her meatballs to come out of the frying pan so they could eat them before they went into the sauce, which they thought was the ultimate!. She also enjoyed vacations and bus trips to New York to see the Italian feast. Peggy had an infectious laugh that amused her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the mother of Anna (Joseph) Varriale, Louis (Roseann) Cinque, Mary Lou (Les) Hills and Francine (Jerry) Vitolo. Sister of the late Mary Burzenski and Louis Bonito. Also adored by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The Cinque family would like to thank the staff at Branford Hills for the compassionate care they gave Peggy.
Funeral from the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 11 Wooster Pl. Wednesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 10. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzhemer's Association 2911 Dixwell Ave. Hamden, CT 06518.
